CC PORTING TOOLS ARE A NEW INNOVATION IN CUTTING AND POLISHING ALUMINUM. We maintain when you cut soft metals too fast, first, it hardens metal, making it cut very uneven, after that it begins to melt and clogs. We think you can cut more soft metal at a slower tool speed.
The basic cutting (Hogging) doesn't take as much time by comparison. the problem with aluminum is we can see the melting problem, but can't see the hardening of the metal. the first indication of hardening is ripples, waves, hard humps and bumps. Since we are not aware of this, we don't realize it will take much langer to do the shape-up, clean-up and leveling process. (This is where most of the time is spent). The object is to keep the aluminum soft like when we started. This is especially true in final stages of clean-up polishing as we no longer have the grit or scratching action to penetrate the metal. Until now, power tools have relied on speed alone to develp the needed working power. controlled speed with full power at any RPM is the secret. High speed can be dangerous and costly when working in the confined areas where the machinist must work. Also when working with aluminum you can work at slower speeds to reduce melting of the metal in your cutting tool. A special "Feedback" circuit assures that no power is wasted and uses only the electricity required for the torque you need. It operates so quiet and smooth you will enjoy working with it. The Foot Control is very precise and comfortable to operate.
